River Tubing
New Braunfels offers premier river tubing experiences on the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers. The spring-fed Comal River maintains a consistent 70-72°F temperature year-round, providing a relaxing 2.5-mile float through downtown New Braunfels.
In contrast, the Guadalupe River presents a more adventurous tubing experience with its varying currents and scenic views, making it a popular choice for those seeking excitement.
Both rivers are renowned for their clear, blue waters, attributed to the region's limestone deposits and natural springs. There are several tubing outfitters in the area including Rockin’ R’ River Rides and Texas Tubes.
Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo
Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo in New Braunfels, Texas, offers visitors an up-close experience with a diverse collection of exotic animals, including mammals, birds, and reptiles.
Open daily, the zoo provides engaging animal encounters and educational shows for guests of all ages.

Glass Bottom Boat Tours
A tour of Spring Lake in nearby San Marcos allows you to see the very bottom of the lake through a glass panel on the boat. You’ll see lots of flora and fauna, as well as the springs that give the lake its name. Your guides are full of facts and trivia about the history of the area and many creatures that call Spring Lake and the San Marcos River home.
Landa Park
The 51-acre Landa Park offers a variety of amenities under the shade of giant oak trees including miles of walking trails, three playgrounds, an outdoor amphitheater (known as the Dance Slab), a miniature train, two hiking trails in Panther Canyon, an arboretum, the Landa Park Aquatic Complex, the Wurstfest grounds, and the world famous Comal Springs and the beginning of the Comal River.
McKenna Children Museum
The McKenna Children's Museum in New Braunfels offers an interactive and educational experience for kids, with hands-on exhibits that inspire creativity and curiosity. Families can explore themed areas like space, art, and health, making it a must-visit destination for young adventurers.
Natural Bridge Caverns
From nationally renowned cavern tours to above ground adventures, you can find the perfect combination of natural wonder and fun at natural bridge caverns. Choose from five unique tours to explore the largest cave in texas. Above ground there’s a zip rail, maze and activities.
Pickle Festival March 15, 2025
Relish in a day dedicated to everything pickles and pickle-related. Held March 15 in New Braunfels at the Comal County Fairgrounds where you can expect food, entertainment, Â pickle eating contests for kids and adults, and more.
Railroad Museum
The New Braunfels Railroad Museum, housed in a historic 1907 International & Great Northern Railroad depot, showcases artifacts and photographs from the golden age of railroading.
Tour an 0-6-0T locomotive, boxcar, caboose, and a 1922 Pullman passenger car which has been renovated into a dining car. Other displays include railroad china, a rare late 1800’s velocipede, restored baggage carts, railroad signals, local area railroad photos, lanterns, and five model railroad layouts.
Schlitterbahn
Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, located in Texas, is renowned as "The World's Best Waterpark," offering over 40 attractions, including 45 rivers, rides, slides, and chutes suitable for all ages.
The park features unique accommodations like the Treehaus Luxury Suites, providing guests with a memorable stay amidst the park's natural beauty.
Families can enjoy the newly expanded kids' area, Schatze's Storybrook Park, which includes the world's first kids' water coaster.

ZDT’s Amusement Park
ZDT's Amusement Park in nearby Seguin is a family-owned attraction designed to entertain guests of all ages, from toddlers to adults. The park features a variety of rides and attractions, including the Switchback Roller Coaster, Thundervolt Speedway GoKarts, Parachute Drop, indoor Jungle Playground and much more. They also have a splash zone and several waterslides open late spring through summer.
